TUTOR QUALIFICATIONS
Tutors at myTutorHub are highly qualified with university degrees, teaching certificates, professional qualifications or a combination thereof. Although mostly from a school teaching background, tutors also come from other walks of life, such as being post-graduate students themselves. All tutors have different teaching methods and styles. One of the primary benefits of private tuition is that the tutor can tailor his/her method to the needs of the individual student. All myTutorHub tutors will endeavour to provide the best tutoring possible.
RULES AND GUIDELINES
The tutors are only expected to provide tuition and are not responsible for the safety, welfare, well-being and care of students.
1. Students and tutors are requested to not consume food during class times. Liquids are allowed.
2. Students are not permitted to record lessons via electronic devices without the permission of the tutor.
3. Students are not permitted to bring external people to the online classes.
4. Students are to avoid sitting in a room full of background noise.
5. Students are expected to keep their mics on during the online classes and have the option to keep their cameras on
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
Attendance and punctuality is of utmost importance for the progress of the student. The students will be expected to attend every class and be on time - and attendance will be monitored. In the case of any illness or unforeseen circumstances, please contact myTutorHub with a minimum notice of 24 hours. Since our tutoring is provided on a structured timetable with a class of students, the tutors are unable to make up any missed lessons by the student.
TECHNICAL FAULTS AND DISRUPTIONS
We will endeavour to provide all classes in a punctual manner, without disruptions. However, we will not be liable for any unforeseen technical faults or disruptions caused in the delivery of our online classes.
PAYMENT
1. Payment must be made before the commencement of the first class which will be calculated based on the number of lessons left in the month of enrolment, and thereon on the 1st of each month.
2. Parents/Guardians may opt to pay for tuition monthly via our recurring payment methods.
3. Where payment remains outstanding, myTutorHub reserves the right to place the student's lessons on hold until full payment is made.
4. Our packages include any holidays (such as half-term holidays) and payment amounts will remain the same as per your selected package.
LESSON CANCELLATIONS AND ABSENCE
1. While our dedicated tutors will endeavour to deliver all sessions during term time, there are occasions where we must cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances. A cancelled class will be made up at a later date.
2. Parents/Guardians are required to confirm any absence of the student at least 7 days prior to the commencement of each month. In exceptional circumstances, such as illness, bereavement etc. students or their parents are required to provide 24 hours of notice.
CONTRACT CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND
1. The tuition service we provide at myTutorHub is an ongoing contract with recurring payments. Therefore, if you wish to terminate your regular tuition sessions for any reason, you must do so by contacting myTutorHub via email.
2. Termination of your contract must be liaised with us before the cancellation of any Direct Debit or recurring payments.
3. Please note that if you request a refund after scheduled classes have already been delivered (regardless of whether the student attended or not) we will be deducting the relevant fees and an additional administration fee of £15. In the case that a refund is requested for our three or five-month package, deductions will be calculated according to our monthly plan of £65.
4. Please note that changes in your circumstances are not the responsibility of myTutorHub and neither can we be held liable for changes in your circumstances.
TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend a student from our services if he/she is displaying any unacceptable behaviour, without you having any recourse to a refund.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
myTutorHub will handle personal information of users in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
AGREEMENT
By applying to our tutoring service you agree to accept the above terms and conditions. myTutorHub may alter these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on this website immediately and parents/guardians will be notified via email. Please check the latest terms and conditions when notified to inform yourself of any changes.
